So how was this research deducted? Well, the mobile data analysis firm Arieso lead this research and they examined more than 1 million smartphone users over a 24h period in European 3G networks. They don't seem to be shocked by the results and they found out some other interesting things. Namely, phablets such as the Galaxy Note 2 or other great 5-inchers were also rising data consumers.
"One iPhone 5 user is effectively worth about 4 iPhone 3G users," report author Michael Flanagan said in an interview.
Their study also shows that an iPhone 5 users is also 50% more demanding than an iPhone 4S user in Europe and that no other smartphone other than the Galaxy S3 is coming anywhere close to ranking as high as this.
